Terms
These terms cover the website bettersearchlab.com and the live demo. Better Search Lab itself is free, open-source software you run on your own server. The AGPL-3.0 license, not these terms, governs your use of the code.
The software and its license
Better Search Lab is free and open source under the GNU AGPL-3.0 license. You may run it, read it, change it, and share it under that license, which is the agreement that governs the code. It is provided as is, with no warranty of any kind, as the license states. You run it on your own infrastructure, and you are responsible for your installation, your data, and the third-party services it connects to, such as DataForSEO, Google, and your chosen AI provider, including their terms and any costs you run up with them.
The live demo
The demo is a shared, read-only sandbox with two synthetic sites, offered so you can try the product before installing it. It holds no real customer data. We may reset it, change it, or take it offline at any time, so please do not rely on it for real work, and please do not try to overload it, write to it, or pull data beyond what it shows.
Using this website
You are welcome to read and share this site. Please do not attack or overload it, scrape it abusively, or use it to break the law. If you give us your email for release updates, that is the only thing we use it for, and you can unsubscribe at any time. See the Privacy page for how we handle it.
No warranty, and limits on liability
The website, the demo, and the software are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether stated or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, Better Search Lab and its authors are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of them, including lost data, lost revenue, or costs run up with a third-party service.
Other services we link to
This site and the software point to and work with services we do not control, among them GitLab, GitHub, the demo host, DataForSEO, Google, and AI providers. We are not responsible for those services, and their own terms apply to your use of them.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date below shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site or the demo means you accept the current version.
